Mainstay is being built to be clear with funders, donors, property partners, and the community. The mission is housing-focused, veteran-priority, partner-supported, and documented property by property.
Housing-only boundary
Mainstay does not present itself as a medical, clinical, therapy, detox, treatment, or rehabilitation provider. Services outside housing are referred to or coordinated with qualified outside partners.
Conflict-managed vendor services
Any related-party support service must be disclosed, board-reviewed, documented, priced at fair-market value, and handled under conflict-of-interest procedures.
Use of funds
Funds are directed toward property readiness, bed setup, safety upgrades, accessibility needs, furnishing, launch reserves, and documented mission operations.
IRS status
Federal tax-exempt recognition is pending. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility while the application is pending.
